The company I work for built and designed the first one...

Now they are going global -

It is a cool little vehicle - diesel/hybrid/all electric (depending on need), fits in a V-22, completely modular, fast as anything (over 90 on rough terrain), 35" wheel travel, can traverse 30" of water - goes up and down stairs easily, very narrow track, but surprising stable - great rock climber - good for inner-city use, shielded against heat detection, superb IED protection.

Where can I get one?

That would be right at home on Philly streets. :)

azasadny 06-17-2011 05:45 AM

Very cool! Congrats!

foxpaws 06-17-2011 05:53 AM

Tim - I know, I have always thought it should be marketed as a LA urban assault vehicle - maybe sans the gun turrets. ;)

i love the photo in the lower left - it looks like something from a GI Joe toy kit - it just needs a GI Joe guy standing next to it.

But, the cool part is - that is real...

Joe Bob 06-17-2011 06:01 AM

Will Ahnold get one?

masraum 06-17-2011 06:24 AM

I think that looks like a great commuter car. When traffic gets crappy, hit the grass median at 90 mph!

That was my first thought!

Looks pretty neat and having a configuration that'll fit an Osprey is a plus, but only 30" water fording?? My 30 year old Rover does that with no modification...

Because of the heat shielding - so you can't see a thermal print of it when it is running - and where the batteries had to be to balance the vehicle - some things are compromised on the 'standard' version - that is why the 30".

If you aren't worried about the thermal print, or running it on batteries - we can almost snorkel this thing... the engine bay is where the passenger would normally sit in a regular vehicle.

It is only 58" wide... very narrow. Great for running it in small towns and cities with very narrow steets/alleys.

That looks way awesome, do you think they'll take visa?

Well the company I work for made parts for the V22 so :P

rusnak 06-17-2011 10:03 AM

I'll take a rear engine, 2-seat model with a zombie crusher nerf bar.

When will it be marketed to TOYS R US....I want to buy the plasstic kit..looks like a neat model to build. Do U guys do WW2 aeroplanes as well?

foxpaws 06-17-2011 11:43 AM

LSA - you got the money honey - we can park one in your garage - customized (they make a cool one for black ops... really nifty).

kach22i 06-17-2011 11:50 AM

Good replacement for my S-10 pick up truck.

Does anyone know how the JAMMA would look in Zebra Stripes?

pwd72s 06-17-2011 11:52 AM

Looks like one fine hunting rig!

URY914 06-17-2011 11:56 AM

I'd like mine in flat black, please.

speeder 06-17-2011 12:10 PM

$?

Fauxpaws, I didn't realize you worked for the Industrial Military Complex! I work for Disney, we don't produce anything designed to kill people.

That you know of.....
Some of the crap promos I've seen with the Disney tag look like movies that could move one to a homicidal rage.

Hugh R 06-17-2011 04:24 PM

Suicide more likely, and the key word was "designed". Did you see "Surrogates"? one of the worst movies I've ever seen, let alone worked on. I had such high expectations, and the Director did Terminator 3. In my opinion, he was a total wussie, panzy boy to boot.

HHI944 06-17-2011 04:34 PM

No, I didn't see surrogates, I couldn't even stand a few seconds of the promo!

tabs 06-17-2011 05:05 PM

Isn't a "surrogate" the guy who stands in for the porno star when he can't get it up...

rusnak 06-17-2011 05:45 PM

No, that's "Sir Gato". Ooh, I will get that Sir Gato if it's the last thing I ever do......

gt350mike 06-18-2011 03:22 AM

Send one over here (Afghanistan) and we'll give it a thorough test free of charge. I got guys that work for me that could break $hit before they got out of the motor pool.
