The guy is really trying hard to NOT sell it. I have a survey with Schiffner Marine on Monday and a sea trial tomorrow.

I went with Tiara because of reputation and a lot of reading. The only thing the wife and i gave up with this boat was windows. There are none. Three skylights, but no windows.

I have heard the cummins were good and I am ready to give this a whirl. If this boat doesn't do well on the survey, or sea trial goes bad...then I think we are going to put an offer in on a MUCH smaller boat. A 32' Regal that is in freshwater....but with gas engines....

dhoward,

if you know the boat let me know!

Congrats, please share pix & if you need any crew to bring her to Daytona, I might be game.. Listen to OJ, he speaks the truth, other than the Blow Boat stuff (I too have been on both)
JeremyD, that wasn't as bad as I have seen it heading out as the King Fish tournment fishermen were heading in:eek: it was like the seen from Jaws, we were on a 50 Morgan heading up to Savanha when we reached where the St. Johns empties into the ocean, and it was CRAZY!!!

It's great that you found a boat that fits you. I too am a newbie with these bigger boats although the boats I've been looking at were around 23ft. Still haven't gotten one. Actually its been back and forth for getting a pool put in or getting a 23' Crownline BR 230. It's a bow rider with a small bar and a head. Kids are 8 and 6 right now. Season is short here either way so take that into account. Any thoughts or input on our predicament?

I have a sailboat. It was a cheap buy on ebay, (I had looked at it a few months previous )
Boating community is great, sailors or motoring, just being out on the water is a healthy thing.
A boating friend found me a free mooring (!) Nice location.
I have no engine, don't need it where I am.. ( for motoring I like the automobile!)
Just pay to launch and to store on land annually. Despite the price-gouging boatyard I am using,
it is a surprisingly cheap thing to own. Like with the cars I do all my own maint.
29 foot 6 inches and as beautiful as the Porsche.
