opinions on smart phones
I may need a smart phone for work (processing credit cards off site). Is the I-Phone the way to go or are there alternatives for less money?
Thanks, Bernie |

I was torn between a HTC Aria (android 2.3) and an iPhone 3gs, and the store didn't have the Aria in stock for me to fondle first. So I have an iPhone.
I really didn't want a smart phone - my ideal cell phone would mimic my landline wall phone in functionality. So far, the iPhone does everything I want it to with only one minor thing to make me even a tad upset. This is amazing since most phones really make me mad for the first few weeks of owning it. So.. do the iPhone. Of course, for $40 and a $35/mo data plan they also had nice little acer netbooks .. we've had a few of them at work and they are really nice portable machines. Might be better for what you are wanting to do since there are lots of off the shelf sales/cc/etc software for desktop windows ...

My G3 iPhone with AT&T sucks, but that's AT&T's fault. It worked great in Europe. Your carrier is just as, if not more, important than the phone itself.
