Garage
It's always in the Last Place You Look

Who'd have thunk? A rare '60's Ferrari found in garage! Was someone expecting to find one under a tarp in someone's back yard, or next to a falling down barn???

That being said, they guy who sold me my 911 did have a Ferrari 275GTB/4 in his garage, under a tarp. It was in damn near showroom condition. He said that it was worth so much that he was afraid to drive it. What a sad state of affairs, an awesome car condemned to investment status, hidden away lest it be devalued.

I don't blame him by the way, I just hate to see cars bid up to the point where they are out of reach of the average enthusiast and turn into a bauble that the rich idly collect because they can. Unfortunately I see this happening to the "Long Hood" 911's nowadays.

Oh well, rant over...

Of course it's the last place you look. I mean, once you find it, you're gonna quit looking?

He should sell, and buy something he enjoys driving...

I saw THAT car last weekend at Cars n Coffee in Irvine, it still didn't run, the guy trailered it in and pushed it to a spot. Still totally dusty, he isn't planning on doing anything with it.

True, he was proud of it's dust, I would have spent days cleaning that and I would drive it, I can't own something I can't use. Might as well have a bottle of very old EXPENSIVE wine, show it off, put it back, drink some Ripple. or drive a Prius.

Very sad, actually even more sad than the destroyed WWII aircraft in the other thread...

That video... great sound, but... somebody please tell that guy that is not how you hold the steering wheel of any car.

But especially the steering wheel of a fine vintage Italian automobile.

That grip is not even recommended for an old farm tractor.

And yeah... the guy who won't drive his 275 GTB/4... that's a crime.
