Anyone in Hawaii?
 

There are some reasonable deals going for us Banana Republic Australians at the moment, and I was thinking of surprising my wife...... But while she'll be shopping, I'd love to have beer with any pelicanheads who may live there?

I so want to get onto mainland USA, but can't quite stretch the funds just yet :)

What? Mainland US is more expensive than Hawaii? That's interesting. Umm...yes. I do live in Hawaii. I think Adam Chaplin, a fellow Pelicanhead is also planning to come, just don't know when. Maybe we can all get together? I think there are two other people here that more or less frequent the board.

I live in Honolulu, actually very close to Pearl Harbor. Let me know if you need any info on the islands, like tourist traps to avoid, cool places to go, etc. If you need any info on reasonably priced places to stay, I can help there also. Let me know when you will be coming in, we should all me up and grab a beer and finally put a face with the screenname.

It's ironic that this topic should appear right about now.

I actually leave for my vacation to Hawaii on the 19th, but because of the International Date Line, I'll arrive on the 18th! Jeff (Rufblackbird) has graciously passed on tips and pointers for my stay. I'll certainly try to catch up with him at some stage.

Fishcop, for us Australians, there certainly are some good deals going. Just remember to take TWICE the spending money you think you'll need. Damn our weak dollar, even though it's climbing steadily - (up to US$0.5228 this morning). I hear I'll be missing a great PCA event on the 17th! D'oh! :mad:

Anyway, how many Pelicanheads are there in HI?

How about Anna Bananas in town or the Sugar Bar out in the country for some Fosters and darts.

There's quite a few Aussie surfers that migrate here but the winter swells are winding down.
