I had some really good times when I was a bit younger, times that I never remember until I start cross-referencing on I-Tunes. Then it's instant flashback. . .

Good old Quay Lewd, saw those guys a few times. "A Winnebago, a herd of Winnebagos..an autographed picture of Randolph Mantooth...and a baby's arm holding an apple..."

On the whole, my parents should not have let the 13 year old me listen to this record.

I bought my first house from Danny Elfman. A very sharp guy. Somewhere I have one of Oingo Boingo's albums signed by the entire band.

Pretty sure they will hang themselves when they get enough rope.

What did " big hands I know you're the one" even mean?

FROM WIKIKPEDIA: Gordon was sensitive about his small hands, and on the first day of school a girl came up to him, held his hands in the air, and exclaimed "LOOK WHAT SMALL HANDS HE HAS". So, he wrote the song from the perspective of a girl lusting after a boy with big hands. This would explain the "big hands I know you're the one" line.

On the VH1 "True Spin" tv program, a member of the band said that a girl he liked came up to him, pick up his arm and said, "Look at him tiny hands." So the song is acctually in the point of veiw of the girl he liked which explains why the song goes, "...Big hands I know you're the one"

The Tubes were WAY, WAY ahead of the times. Great stuff.

Oingo Boingo along with X are Los Angeles institutions.

I miss the annual Halloween shows Boingo used to do at the Universal Ampitheatre. I was lucky to be able to see the final show they ever played.
