What a sweet bike, the little cousin to the Honda Trans-Alp. Trans-Alp has a cult following.....will sell quickly if you put it on the right forum like ADVRider or ThumperTalk.........G'luck

I need one of those like a hole in my head. But it would be so much fun. I can't even stay on my Mt. bike, so I know something like this would become a "hurt bike" in the national forest real fast ...

That's no enduro, it's a dualie.
I think you should keep it, what can you replace it for what it would bring?
Jim

porsche4life 07-10-2011 09:36 PM

Seeing as how I have ridden it less than 50miles in the last two years, replacing it isn't a worry currently. Its really to small for me to ride on the road around here, and too big for my parents 10 acres. Its been relegated to living on the patio the last few weeks. We don't have space for it currently, and I could use the money for some upcoming school expenses.... If I get another bike at some point, it will be a street bike.

porsche4life 07-10-2011 09:41 PM

I think you should buy it Jim. It came from your part of the world. Supposedly some rich doctor kept it on his place in NW AR from the time it was new until we bought it about 8yrs ago.

on2wheels52 07-11-2011 03:13 AM

Would an XL 185 be better on the 10 acres? Would trade you that for it.
I'm at the point where 'one bike enters, one bike leaves'.
But a very neat little bike, I'd give it a good home.
Jim

I'd love to have that bike.
Got a 73 XL 250 First new vehicle i ever bought. Sadly.... haven't fired it up in a few years.
She's had quite a few hard miles put on her.

MotoSook 07-11-2011 05:24 AM

What are you asking for it?

MotoSook 07-11-2011 05:27 AM

Oh I see saw the link...iPhone retarded viewer.

Looks like a nice bike...but the shipping would kill me!

porsche4life 07-11-2011 07:03 AM

Jim, I'm sure the XL would be good, but that doesn't solve the problem of having a bike that I don't have space to store. I need to be bikeless for a while....

Pete, you make it down this way occasionally don't you?

Eric Hahl 07-11-2011 08:25 AM

Sweet Bike! Wish you weren't so far away.

I'll second the recommendation to post it on ADVRider. It will sell quickly.

Tim Hancock 07-11-2011 08:56 AM

I would consider it for my daughter if you were closer.

porsche4life 07-11-2011 09:06 AM

Just a thought... We may be taking a pickup to Winterset, IA soon, if any of you all up in that area wanted to meet me there, I'm sure it could be arranged.

porsche4life 07-11-2011 09:16 AM

Listed on TT, now I have to go through the join process on ADV rider.... Grr....

1988 Honda NX 250 - ThumperTalk Classifieds

Created my ADV listing, waiting for it to be approved...

porsche4life 07-18-2011 12:13 PM

Just went for a short spin around our place.... Its too damned hot to ride right now...

Looks like we will be going to Iowa in the coming weeks.

Trade for the cafe bike Tim?

Tim Hancock 07-18-2011 12:36 PM

Not gonna happen.... After pouring that much time into building it, I doubt I will ever sell it.
