No in the movies, but there was a tangerine 914 on The Late Late Show with James Corden tonight. He was doing a carpool karaoke with Usher and they came upon these guys pushing a 914 down the road. It looks like it just came from paint and going to reassembly.

10:35 into the video.

"Nudity Required" (1990)

Despite good Porsche scenes (yes, plural) and nudity...I can't recommend it.

Question

In the dustbin of my brain I recall a scene from a 70's or late 60's film. I think it starred Michael Sarrazin. There's a scene in a Porsche 911 (?) convertible going down the highway and the passenger climbs out crawls across the windshield and trades places with the driver.

Ring a bell with anyone or am I missremembering?

There's only a trailer out for "Once upon a time in Hollywood", the latest Tarantino film where the camera passes by a red 911 longhood. Movie takes place some time in the 70's by the look so I'm sure the year would be appropriate.

In the effort to keep the car correct, I noticed the hood ornament is probably original so not shiny but in the movie it should be which is an anachronism. I bet that happens a lot in movies with original cars

"Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" takes place in 1969 and the Manson murders are a central part of the plot. It's all about '69 and "the end of innocence", blah, blah, blah...

Redford drove a Bahama yellow 911 or 912 in Down Hill Racer. Good movie back in the days before Redford lost his mind.

There's a movie on Netflix called "Wheelman". Haven't watched it yet, looks fairly low budget, but the end scene is a long one in an impact bumper 911. I tried to get a screen grab on my computer, but couldn't. But I found these...

There were several on the old tv detective show Mannix. The crashed a blue 356 in one episode, then used the same crash footage in another episode.

I found this and watched it. Derek Bell is in the episode with a Lowenbrau racing suit on and it's a brief but real acting part.

Threads like this make Porsches seem really boring.
