Our Crew
The wife and I don't have any children. Both educators--that's enough. We are, however, owned by The Nine Hounds of Doom. They are all getting up in age now, the Beagle, Louie, is 14. Rescue dogs. Six Italian Greyhound, a retired racing greyt, a Bassett-mix and the grouchy old Beagle.
Boring Sunday, thought I'd share some pix of the crew. These are a few years old, didn't feel like resizing any recent pix. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks! Most of the dogs are special needs (so-to-speak). One of them is blind in one eye, one is a spinner, one has abandonment issues and my little Prince Enzo is completely deaf. The big Greyhound is a poop eater. Ugh. Italian Greyhounds (Iggies/IGlets) are a tough breed. Very FERAL little beasts. Hard to house-train, but extremely loving and needy. I don't know any IG owners that have just one. Extremely fast, very agile and great little sighthound hunters. They're like the sports car of the small dog breed. Mostly they all just sleep and soak up the sun though.
The motto in my house is NO DOUBLE DIGITS!

Great pups! I hope you have hardwood floors cuz your carpets must be a mess!
Love the mixes you have - not a 'dog' in the bunch!

Nope, no carpet in the house. Only on the stairs leading to the bonus room and upstairs bedroom. We had it all yanked when we bought the house two years ago.

Good looking dogs there. Your poop-eater is probably just trying to help you out a little!

Here are our 2 IGs... Wife wants to adopt a greyhound but we will see...
Frankie is about 2.5 and Davy 3.5, both are larger than normal IGs. Got lucky, easiest dogs to house break I've ever trained. I do get asked constantly if Davy was a rescue, noone ever believes that he gets to eat whenever he wants... hehe. ![]() ![]()

Brad, you're one of the few lucky ones--these dogs are notoriously hard to house-train. Looks like you've got some good-lookin' Biggie-Iggies! If you're lookin' to adopt a big Greyt, go for it. The adoption folks will bring the dog by for a nice long visit to see if it is compatible with your IGlets, being that some greyts like to eat and kill small animals such as cats and IGs. Our Greyt just sleeps 18 hours a day and chases the squirrels around the yard. They are wonderful dogs--already come house-trained and most will not get on your furniture unless you put them there. Once you do, it's over! Our will not go upstairs, she was never trained on staircases. She'll go down the porch steps, but refuses to go upstairs in the house.

Hehe - I have heard stories about the stairs!
I would like to adopt one but we are currently fence-less. Just moved into a house from an apt, and need to take care of that first. Once that is up though... ![]()
