ClarkG...who are you?

Got a private email (sent from Pelican account) from ClarkG, that seems to be "fishing" for info about a post some time back regarding an accident. I think he may have me confused with someone else (maybe Rick L). I see no post history for ClarkG here on Pelican, so I'm a bit suspicious. Clark, if you're here, show yourself (so I'll know you're legit), or can anyone else can vouch for him. Just a "heads up" in case anyone else is getting simiular requests...

Isn't he still here tuning the suspension for racing elephants? Between the Zilts, TLovins, Mikebobs, and Chuckjobunos, I can't keep track of all the costume changes anymore . Bump to the top and a heads up again after looking back at the mail headers. I'll report this to the mods for Wayne to review. Maybe he can filter these "passthroughs" using the Pelican acct. In the meantime, Rick L (if you see this, I think someone is fishin' for info regarding that girl you hit a few years back, or maybe it's an insurance troll...here's what I received:

BBS clarksxxxxxx@yahoo.com via pelicanparts.com

OR, by email:
mailto:clarksxxxxxx@yahoo.com

This is the message:

Hey there, how did it work out with the pedestrian you hit a few years ago? Did you ever hear from her again? did you insurance go up?

take care!

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but trolls with zero posts fishing for details pretending to be a member of this forum give up their claim to inter-web courtesy.

On the surface it sure sure seems like he is an ambulance chaser trying to prey on internet board members.
Maybe someone should point him in our "DUI hit and run" rap member's direction

You're right, I wasn't thinking, and have edited the email addy. Mark, would you be kind enough to do the same? I smell a skunk/scammer, but he's innocent until proven guilty...thanks Zilt !

I've edited the email addy, but I tend to agree... he's hijacking Pelican's identity to spoof the source of the addy (it appeared to originate from Pelican in my mailbox), but I'll give the benefit of doubt...
