Finally a reason to watch the CW!

Looks like Zoey Deschanel will be in a new show on the CW called "The New Girl" this fall...

I've been a fan of her's ever since she played in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

porsche4life 07-25-2011 05:04 AM

Me too.

Hulu - New Girl: Pilot - Watch the full episode now.

Not a deep show, but funny. I don't see it lasting more than a season or two though...

She is uber hot. I've been a fan since Almost Famous where she played the big sister. Zooey, Kate Hudson, and Anna Paquin all in the same movie. Great bunch of hotties.

Her and Amber heard are my two latest things...

I'd crawl though a damn burning bed of thorns to get a piece of that

Flieger 09-29-2011 09:13 AM

I hope she can drive a faster Top Gear lap than Amber Heard...

porsche4life 09-29-2011 09:24 AM

She just needs some coaching.....

I'll volunteer my services!!! I'll even help her get buckled in....

Flieger 09-29-2011 09:25 AM

Amber did have one of the most, uh, interesting Top Gear interviews, though...

porsche4life 09-29-2011 09:28 AM

Yes, yes she did....

Btw she is on a new show called "The Playboy Club" It is very much worth watching....

techweenie 09-29-2011 10:52 AM

Guys, watch fast. I think the Playboy Club already got cancelled and Zoey's show is on the 'kill list.'

porsche4life 09-29-2011 11:10 AM

Neither really surprise me. I like both shows, but I'm not exactly a target market....

And neither shows seem new or original.

techweenie 09-29-2011 11:30 AM

That's the problem with TV. Most people tell researchers that they want something 'new and fresh' and then do not feel comfortable with 'new and fresh.'

What heavy TV consumers appear to really want is the same thing, slightly re-packaged. So that's mostly what's out there. Programmers saw Mad Men being successful so they created Pan Am and the Playboy Club. They saw the recent Julia Louis-Dreyfus show being successful, so they came up with the new Whitney Cummings and Zoey Deschanel shows... Scripted shows are now seen as being a big risk. "Reality" rules.
