I was just listening to some Stevie Winwood and Traffic. I had almost forgotten how talented that band was. Stevie Winwood really grows on you...

Thanks for posting this. I finally got my Apple TV to play the youtube vid and it sounds great. It reminds me of the days when I really lived music. Traffic, Cream, CSN, The Band, Jethro Tull, Jeff Beck - I loved it.

Yes, Steely Dan! Somehow I didn't get to be a big fan of Little Feat. I kind of took a turn off the highway and got focused on women's voices. I was listening to Marshal Chapman, Karen Dalton, Laura Love, Rickie Lee Jones etc. In music I still love a woman's voice above all else.

Eric Clapton loves to bring Winwood to the Crossroads guitar festivals. (Check out the 2010 version now available on Netflix streaming). I never knew that Stevie was THAT GOOD with an axe.

Winwood is a brilliant musician--he started out playing with the Spencer Davis group as I recall and he was very young-but he looked very cool...
Here he is playing keyboards and singing in 1967--I think I first saw him in 1964 or 65: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFaT69CyyKU I couldn't resist this--Winwood at 16 playing lead guitar and singing lead with Spencer Davis-I was about a month older than him and I was a snotty nosed kid in the audience. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bfb1vQL2-Zg&feature=related
