pc problem/media center
 

started last night. vista media center keeps opening by itself as soon as I can close it, tried disabling it every which way as instructed on various help sites. best I could do was to stop the actual program from loading, but now I get the can't open progran box one after the other as it trys to start. in just a few minutes I'll have 25-30 cannot start notifications on screen. before I got to this point, media center would open seconds after I could shut it down.. again and again, over and over. scanned with windows essentials, malwarebytes and avg and haven't found any infections. how do I make it stop other than performing my usual autopsy on things that quit working and adding it to my collection of misc. parts/pieces of junk I never throw out help

Does your keyboard have a "media" button on it for opening the default media player. My friends pc was doing the same exact thing except with windows media player and he was pulling his hair out, never figured to check that.
