Just dropped a half gallon of paint
Biggest mess I have made in a while. I have been hammer down, since 6 am today, was trying to get ceiling paint on one of the bedrooms so that I can do the walls tomorrow. My kid wants to help so bad, and has been following me around in the room. I stepped off the step stool, tripped over him, and down went a half gallon of white ceiling paint. I of course let out a nice F bomb. My son, now covered in white paint, and startled by my loud vulgarity, takes off down the hallway, leaving white foot prints all over the carpet, I chase him down before he gets to the living room, and leave a nice trail of footprints as well.
Damage control, I grab him up get him in the shower, and I wipe myself down, change clothes, and shoes, and grab a bucket, and go after all the foot prints before they dry. I think I am o.k, got them all cleaned up, mopped down the walls and door that were spattered, all I have left is my old yamaha acoustic guitar that took a pretty nice paint bath as well. I think it is quitting time. I painted houses as a side job right after high school, and The biggest mess I have ever seen was when the boss spilled a 5 gallon bucket of paint off a customers roof. Paint rolled all the way down the roof from the peak, down to the gutters, and then down onto the customers caprice, and onto the nice blacktop driveway. That was a whole day affair cleaning up. Good night

Most acrylics can be cleaned up after they start to dry with alcohol. Lacquer thinner for sure.

that's a little mess. a big mess is when you spill a full gallon of contact cement on the galley floor of a supply boat with new 1/4 thick vinyl installed the day before, and a good bit of the gallon goes in and under the seat where life vests and other things are stored. by the time I got that cleaned up, the whole crew was flying. it's like cleaning snot

We got vandalized at one of our rental houses about 5 years ago, not only did they spray paint graffiti all over the walls, but they took about half of a 5 gallon bucket of white paint, and two one gallon cans of a brownish color and threw it all over the walls in the dining room. This was not as big of a deal, the paint was still wet when we got there in the morning, and we were going to lift that floor anyhow, so we just shoveled up the mess, stirred it all together, and rolled it out onto the walls, painted two rooms with it, and it was a decent looking color all said and done, had some texture to it though.

That's funny, I was painting the hallway once with the tray on the floor, someone rang the doorbell and the dog bolted to the door right through the tray, when we tried to catch him he thought it was a game and started running around the house, leaving little paw prints all over the carpet.
Good times....

Clean it with Krud Kutter. It does a good job cleaning up latex paint.

I was in a hurry the other day, and tried to unplug a can of spray paint with a safety pin. So dumb. All over the side of the house and a railing cap I had just installed. Thinkin ain't my strong suit.

About 15 years ago I moved into the house I live in now, there was not a stitch of carpet in the whole house, just hardwood floors, the kitchen had saltillo tiles.
I was painting the ceiling on of the halls, and somehow managed to knock loose the roller pan from the ladder and dump a freshly filled roller pan full of paint to the floor... My dog, a Husky, being very inquisitive decided to investigate the loud noise from the hall. The dog ran into the hall and stopped in spreading puddle of paint.. I approached the dog with the idea I would scoop him up and carry him out to the yard while I cleaned up the paint... It almost worked, the dog got spooked and proceeded to do a few laps around the first floor of my house... There were Husky paw prints in almost every room of the house, since he managed to "reload" the paint brushes that were his paws by running through the paint a few additional times... Fun times.... and damn I miss the dog..

I'm a contractor and for 15 yrs I hadnnt made a mess in all that time.I was working for this incredibly georgeous divorcee and we got to talking as she was prancing around with this little sundress on, and heels [good god] I came down off the ladder twice right into the pan of paint. Needless to say a shower was in store. LOl that was a fun time. Made some good $ that week and she was um a big hit. LOL

I dropped one returning it to Home Depot with a BMW parked right next to me. The manager didn't seem to take it as seriously as I did. I could just see some little kid or old lady steeping into it before we could clean it up. It probably took them 10 minutes to get someone out there. By then the BMW was gone and fortunately no foot prints in the mess.
Another time I dropped about a quart on the roof. This time the wife didn't understand the urgency needed in getting a water hose up there so I had to climb down and get it myself as she just stood there .
