Just for the heck of it, why don't you put the miles/price/engine/trans in your post? It could save people, (including you), a lot of wasted time.

It absolutely isn't, as the "interested" party will vary greatly depending on all of those factors.

Well, for me (the buyer), it's harder this way....If someone won't list their price, I just assume they are asking too much and move on......Missed opportunity on your part IMO........

Dayum! That is crazy money for a 9 year old truck! You can buy a helluva used Ford F150 for that coin. Nice truck!

Define "helluva".

People are still getting "crazy money" for 9 year old F150's too.

I was just at the Dodge dealership with my bro looking at new 2500 quad-cab diesels. The Laramie "Longhorn" edition with all the bells and whistles was over $70k. For a pickem up? YGTBFKM!

I dunno.... I picked up a very nice 2006 F150 4x4 with only 68K miles (5.4L, super cab) for $11,000 2 years ago. Truck was in like new condition. Thats a lot of truck for the money. Of course, now it looks like a giant golfball.

But its not a Toyota. Those Toyotas must really be in demand.

+1

I'm sure someone will buy it.

But you can buy a comparable Ford/GM crew cab 4x4 with similar miles for 25% less. Even if the Toyota is 'more' bulletproof, I can fix a lot of schit for $4000-5000.

Most people who would consider a Tacoma don't cross-shop anything else, however, so the OP will get what he wants..... it's a nice clean low mile truck

Thats a fine looking Taco you have there. If I didn't already have one, I would be interested.
As for the price, I agree its a bit high...but its a Toyota and they hold their value.
I'm on my third 4x4 Toyota and I love them. My 01 Taco has 105,000 on it. The only thing that has ever gone bad on it was the air/fuel ratio sensor. I have also had to replace the right front differential output shaft seal. Thats it!
I do all my own servicing on it. The biggest was at 90,000. I replaced all the belts and water pump at that time.
Good luck and I hope you get what you're asking for it.

Sounds like you got a great deal.

I am sure the Toyotas command a premium, but they don't seem that far apart to me.

Quick scan of AutoTrader:

Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab (4-door), 2002-2004, under 75k miles:
Highest Price: $24,799
Lowest Price: $8,888
Average Price: $18,433

Ford F150 4x4 Super Crew (4-door), 2002-2004, under 75k miles:
Highest Price: $22,950
Lowest Price: $9,900
Average Price: $17,345
