Here's the little water hammer arrester I installed. Would it be more effective if I installed it on the other side of the supply "T"?
I want to install a "T" and air cap on the sprinkler manifold supply side; should it go between the supply and the manifold (right side) or at the end (left side)? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1312655198.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1312655176.jpg |
My first thought is that it should go between the supply and the house, but if the supply valve to the sprinkler is open all the time, I'm not sure it would make a difference.
Adding a "T"/hammer arrestor on the right side of the sprinkler manifold would make sense, but wouldn't it be redundent? Easy enough to do though to cover all your bases. |

Also, I ordered a small arrester to put on the bathroom water line to fix the problem there. |
