Who will buy it?
No shortage of rich folk who will drop six digits on a "look at me" car. |
Oh oh, I seem to have a bit of a drip going on after seeing this one.

The stygma regarding hand-crafted vehicles is rooted within our culture like a cancer:
1). They have no "brand name" to show off to friends. Remember brand name=money=self importance. 2). Unknown parts. The bazillionaire sez "what happens when...?". Although most mechanics could track down and source new parts, the uncertainty exists. 3). Repeated/copied styles. Most body forms have been done already. Anyone rich enough to buy one of these to use as a true road vehicle is probably too important to drive it at it's limits, so function will follow form. He, or she, will buy it for its own characteristics. At the beginning of the last century, there were thousands of auto manufacturers, some working out of home garages. Now it's boiled down to ten or so. |
Why not just hop-up a Ford GT?
|
I think you hit the nail on the head. There are a lot of well developed supercars out there already. Why buy something that looks like it was put together in some guys basement.
