Unfortunately, there are a lot of old or otherwise diminished-capacity people with access to money. Whether it goes to TV preachers or Nigerian scammers, the result is the same.

My idiot cousin did... He actually bought two BMW from the dealership with a postdated cheque. Why two? because the idiot wanted a special one only for weekends and he actually calculated the interest of the $40,000,000 and thought it was safe.. and all this while bragging to everyone in the fam..
