My 997S next to a 991S

Sorry for the poor quality. Lighting in the garage was terrible, and my car was filthy.

They don't look jarringly different, but the nose is quite different. The headlight bulges on the fenders are actually more pronounced, and the nose dives more steeply. Its got a bit of a Lotus Elise look to it. The tail rocks. Looks seamless like a stealth fighter.

Interior is different, but dimensions are about the same. No need for a photo, just look at a Panamera interior shot, its pretty much the same!

They were doing the test drives again here in south oc. I cruised in the slow lane and about 10 of the 991s's passed me.

I think they look amazing...

But, the weird thing is the exhaust sounded a little " rattley "

They were only doing about 45. Maybe they were driving in too high of a gear.

has a short-hood, snub nose look to it

re the exhaust, they have modified it quite a bit -- to sound "more like a 6" and not like two 3 cylinder engines they say; also have some tuned ports that snake up into the cabin and can be closed off or opened by the driver

I like the 991, very nice update to the 911 style with a little edge. The new interior is really nice. I got to see the 991 at the Rennsport Reunion.

I moved to WA just before my daughter was born. I'm Finnish, and my wife is Indian, and a friend of ours had dubbed her the 'Indofin' even before she was born. I had to get new plates, and it wasn't too much extra for vanity plates. Kind of silly at this point, but I do enjoy peoples guesses as to the meaning.

I like it. My 997's at the dealer for a check engine light. My salesman said I should take a 991 out for a drive when I pick up the 997

2 991s at the cars and coffee this morning. Better looking in person, I like it.

At Rennsport they were shooting a commercial(I am assuming) with a Caymen running right behind it. We were up in the VIP deck and were able to see a lot of the track. The 991 keep pulling away coming out of the corners without sliding its tail. The rear end of the Caymen was sliding a bit on some of the corner. I don't know if they were trying of playing.

longer wheelbase, wider, lower. Loeber Motors in Lincolnwood and an event last Thursday night displaying the new 2012. The interior is gorgeous.

I really like it. I love the air cooled cars (I have one), and I love my 996, but that 991 is GORGEOUS! I'm not sure if you guys noticed, but the front fender humps have a subtle upward bow to them from the top of the doorline forward, before they taper back down toward the headlamps. It's subtle, but looks really good.
