Determining value of Trailex Trailer

Haven't used my Trailex trailer in a few years and I am considering selling it to my brother. In fact he has been using it exclusively for the past 4 seasons and has asked me to sell it to him. He must feel guilty. Not looking to give it away nor double my money. It was built in 1996 specifically for 911's. If I was selling it outright, I would put it on Ebay or Craigslist and see where the bids went. Perhaps others could chime in on a price? Thanks.

I would say a reasonable price would be $3000.00 - $4000.00. Trailer looks to be clean and has options like tire rack and tool box. I assume it has brakes on at least one axle maybe both ?

Yes, it has surge brakes. I bought it used from the original owner who ordered it with upgrades like aluminum wheels and the tire rack. I bought the tool box. Weighs about 850 lbs and you can push it around by hand.

Are you open to any trades???:D

look at what they cost new as a guide and discount some %? Those are really nice trailers and quite expensive if I remember from my research.

Charge him what you paid for it.

The funny thing is that I can't recall what I did pay for it. I was doing my best to have it become less obvious to my wife and used mostly cash.

Bumped. I am looking for some prices and if anyone has priced a used one similarly. Its funny since I have been seeing what my brother thinks would be fair, and he keeps bringing up about all the service work an tires he has put into it.........all from his use!:D

Well, I bought a nice steel trailer with a wooden deck new for 2800. I would a imagine a trailex like your would be double that plus another 1,000 for the racks and boxes. Plus a premium on the wheels or another grand or so.....

Tell him $5K.....he saves sales tax as he is a relative....

I'd pay $5k for it. It would cost a lot more than that new.

Bought my similar Trailex used a couple of years ago same options: tool box, surge brakes, spare, hand cranked winch and tire rack....but yours has the upgraded wheels. Mine was about $4200.

That's what I've been doing for the last 5 year. But my track days are over and I can use the money for other things . Anyway he's the one asking . Seems between 4 and 5k is the rate. Now I just have to get a price for the Fikse fm 10s that he has that are mine and my Hans device and we are all set. Looks like I'll be hitten up for 7 large?:DZ.
