I started the truck to warm it up one morning, around 9:30 at my own house. This is during the week. Someone turned it off when I ran inside to get some paper work. It was too loud for them I suppose. I love to find out who it was that turned off my truck.

I don't get the diesel idling. Is that really necessary on a modern diesel?

Just wondering.

I am just venting and thinking out loud. Having a truck running sitting there just to piss em' off. No isn't necessary at all. Why is it necessary to keep the old diesels running? I don't know.

Got any friends with old Harley's? With straight pipes? Invite them over for a few beers and have them park in front of 4 doors down. Make sure they warm the bikes up before they leave. :)

Wish I did, but I don't have any friends.

Here's the latest after talking about it with my clients today. It all started a few years ago with my client who was playing with their grand son outside with a gas powered radio control car on the quiet street. This little car let out a bunch of smoke as it rode along the front of the tree hugger's house while there were working on their yard. So, they had to go over and give the old man and the little kid a lesson on how to preserve the planet. The old guy basically told the young lady to eat siht and fuch off. ( I am laughing and waving my fist in the air, in my head ofcourse) Young guy some over... YOu know the story. The old man told me to tell tell these people to F themselves.

Now I'll just have to kill them with more kindness next time they stop by. Spoke to my welding contractor, he was using a portable job. A little generator. Not the monster in the back of his flat bed truck yet.

How do some people feel they must have need to say something? How do they get to be this way?

Go over to PARF and see how bad it can get. For some reason, folks of a certain opinion on the issue of God, feel it is their duty to come in and insist that you are an idiot for not thinking the way they do. I mean they are down right militant in asserting their uninvited opinion that your belief is closed minded and uneducated. I guess these neighbors at least are honest enough to do it face to face rather than behind an anonymous screen name.
To answer your question: It seems to me that folks like this are motivated by self-righteous superiority as opposed to genuine compassion. They would rather berate you to prove they are right rather than be happy for you even if (as they believe) you are misguided.
