Now THAT is a speeding ticket!

Motorist shocked to see speeding ticket for going 1,623kph - Taipei Times

1008 MPH in a 45 zone!

slodave 08-22-2011 01:11 PM

And the police are going to issue another ticket for the actual speed. That sucks. After that mistake, they should let him off.

GH85Carrera 08-22-2011 01:19 PM

It would be cool to have a ticket to stick on the wall with 4 digits for the speed!

Eric Hahl 08-22-2011 01:20 PM

I suppose that's a good one to frame and hang on the wall.

krystar 08-22-2011 01:52 PM

should put that on a tshirt

"i got ticketed for going mach 1.5 on the freeway"

I was in an old hotel/restaurant place in Pa. a few weeks ago. One the wall in the bar was a 'ticket' in a frame from like 1912 or so. They guy got busted for going something like 17 mph in a 12 mph zone... on a horse!!!

Notice the real fine for 15k over is still a hefty $1600 !! That's pretty rough on its own. He might still be getting divorced!

Speed is just distance and time...easy to measure, doesn't take a radar gun. :)

OK, lets pick nits. Yea speed can be calculated with distance & time. But unless the horse was on a straight piece of road that was measured down to the inch, and the cop was using a very expensive stop watch (for the era) as the horse went across a start & finish line there is no way to get within a few MPH of accurate.
