Only if your IT guys are (or you are using a system designed by) morons.

Password minimum age setting, generally 3 days. In other words, if you change your password now, you can't change it again for 72 hours.

If you have a bunch of passwords for different systems you need to manage, consider something like this:
KeePass Password Safe

i just counted 23 on my list of passwords in my desk. and that is not all the passwords i have.
i have 2 just to get into my computer! i have one program that starts 30 days out asking, "it is 30 days until your password expires, would you like to change it now?" why not just make me change it when it is time?!! then i like the ones that make me change my password, then log me out for 20 minutes before i can log back in! oh you got me started now! another good one is when they change the criteria for the password but dont tell you what it is. you have to keep trying, letters then numbers, numbers then letters. come on. i use to have a program that i entered a password to generate a password, whats up with that?
they make the passwords so hard, you can never remember them, plus having so many. everybody here has all their passwords written down and we all know where each others are.

I use KeePass to store all my passwords. It's a free password protected app for storing passwords that works great.

I just quick counted and for my real job alone I have over 40 passwords, add to that my side job and personal things and I'm over 100.

I just write 'em down in a notebook. That way, if the computer crashes...

I know, pen & paper is old hat, but it works for me.
