The missing "Hat Box"
 
The car has been in the family since 1971 and we never had the "Hat Box"
A friend located it for me, no I have the complete set of 3

That is cool. I made a soft sided bag out of the extra leather when I read did the upholstery in my now gone Aston Martin DB4.

I have the original set that came with our 190.

The 1st owner was a dentist in Germany.

While my father was looking over the original bill of sale one day he noticed the luggage set.

He sent a letter to the PO whose wife was still alive.

She replied that there was something in the attic that may be what we were looking for.

Couple of weeks later a big box showed up with the complete set.

Apparently never used, they'd been in her attic 30 some odd years and looked brand new.

I was just thinking I should get the fitted luggage for my miata, because the trunk is pretty small.
