Say what?

asphaltgambler 08-26-2011 06:00 AM

I still laugh out loud when I see this guy..........I guess I'm easily entertained!

I see the humor and laugh, but I always wonder what demographic they are advertising to. It sure is not me. I prefer beer with taste.

porsche4life 08-26-2011 06:30 AM

Glen, they are after my demographic.... I know lots of people my age that drink stonesby the case.

I'm more of a whiskey drinker. :D

love the bride in distress one where he hangs up the sobbing brides pay phone session with his meatstick... think it was a slim-jim....

"Brian!" Too funny!

Here's my favorite. Mmm, she's just a little shaken.

Btw, I should add that I've drank enough Keystone to float a battleship. And I'm qualified to say that because I was stationed on Battleship Wisconsin at the time. I'm a plankowner and commissioned her in '88. The shipyard in Pascagoula is a warm and fuzzy place in August, without air conditioning, and having to walk nearly a mile to and from the boat every day.

So's my neighbor across the road. He's 65, looks 90. His daughter called the ambulance 2 days ago...he doesn't walk, began soiling himself...all the result of 50 years of being a "functioning drunk". Doubt he'll last the winter, despite soon to be in a nursing home.

Party on...

porsche4life 08-26-2011 08:45 AM

You're right paul, alcoholism on any level is bad juju. I know people like your neighbor that have drank beer all their life.

As far as me? I've had alcohol exactly 3 times since new years.... I think I'll live...

Be careful...be damned careful. What's sad about the neighbor is that he's been a good neighbor for nearly 30 years. Had great hand skills, always quick to lend a hand, a tool, or give good advice. His timing light was used on RoninLB's 911 a few years back.

Very nice home on 10 acres with a car guy dream shop in the back...even a paint booth. Raised two nice daughters. But, the constant boozing caught up with him...:(

I guess I overreact to the beer ads...portraying everybody young & sexy, everybody having a great time. Then I think of my neighbor, knowing he's far from alone.

Funny commercials. I always thought the target was college students or early to mid 20 somethings, that's who really drinks this beer by the truckload.

Myself, at 41, I tend to buy good bottled beer, Newcastle, etc. I don't drink beer by the truckload anymore!

Tobra 08-26-2011 11:51 AM

Paul, don't they give you a case of Keystone when you buy a new Mustang? Gotta be two cases for the Bullet version:p

That's cool; my dad rode her back when it first hit the waves in the late 40s.
