John Barleycorn must die

Just got some Traffic and Jethro Tull for the trip to Black Hawk, the museum in Danville. Supposed to be 60+ Z3 Coupes there this weekend. Largest gathering since they were parked in the lot where they were made. Leaving in five minuets, I hope my wife is ready, it will be a long trip without her. but quiet.

Aqualung and Locomotive Breath were both on the playlist I used when I was running and hitting a hard spot. This is the live version of Locomotive Breath I had.

Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath - YouTube

I imaged the song as being operatic. When I listen I can imagine a big steam locomotive on a trip from New York to San Francisco. It is steaming up in the beginning. It leaves station at the 1:00 mark and you can feel it pulling it’s way up the eastern mountains. About 2:18 it is on the flatlands rolling along, easy, smooth and fast. At about 3:30 you feel the strain and tension as it climbs the rockies. At 4:05 it is cresting the mountains and the tension is joyously released. And at 4:40 you can feel it happily coasting down the western slopes. At 5:23 it crosses the coastal mountains and at 5:39 it screeches into the station. I don’t know if this is just my imagination ( and the fact that when you are running for hours you have a lot of time to think of weird shcit) or the song was actually written to reflect a train journey.

Oh, yeah, I'm sure that he has to be a farmer... I heard that he perfected the grain drill.

Here are some pictures at the Black Hawk, only 56 Coupes showed up, they had over 60 signed up but some noshows. I think 5 Z3s and the rest M Coupes. Some nice cars. Fabulous cars in the museum.
