Recording 101 . . .
If you've ever wanted to watch the recording (tracking)process, this series might be interesting - if you have an hour to kill btw. It was a two-part two-day session & I sat in on this one. The next day Fab mixed the track (which you can't see online unfortunately). It was recorded during Sweetwater's Gearfest in July.
Cog in the Machine Ian Alert: We were a sponsor so assume subliminal adverts etc. And I broke one of the tweeters . . . just before Day 2 to add some panic . . . |
Watched the first 5 minutes. I'll have to find time to watch the rest. I am not a musician or even a great music lover, but it's interesting to hear and see how it's done.
Thanks for sharing. |
I watched the whole thing earlier. Good stuff, thanks!

Good. I thought some here might enjoy watching the process.
If anybody is impatient, you can go to video 6/6 Advance to 3:40 to hear the final tracking (pre mix). Ian |
I'll have to check it out when I get home. I've heard this is a very good documentary also, interesting guy....
