That being said he was the greatest thing to happen to both of us. Congrats and try and let your wife get some sleep. :D |
Congrat's Big Guy!!! I gotta say, that is one adorable new-born! And you can't say that about very many new-borns, either. I looked like an Alien fresh out of the womb!
Way to go, Buddy! :) |
congrats davis. my first is due in june.
 |
Whoooooo Hooooo!! now the fun starts! Raising kids is a very up and down experience-- up early, up all night, up for a diaper change? up for a spit up? up for a bath? up for breakfast? up for a trip to Costco for diapers? and a down experience-- down when the grandparents take them overnight and you miss them! Notice thre are way more ups than downs! Congratulations!

Congratulations!!
Kids are the greatest joy in the world - I have two, and they already like Porsches' (4 & 5). Take Care! |
great news Shawn!
best regards, Reg |
Congrats! Life will never be the same! It's now better, harder, but with bigger rewards!

If you went out and bought a GT-1, a '73 RSA, a Shelby Cobra and an F-16, Brinley would still be your favorite toy, BY FAR. I understand your joy. Your feet won't touch the ground for weeks. For a time, the rest of the world will fall into proper perspective. The most important work you will do on this Big Ball, will involve that little girl. Congratulations and remember, no one has ever died saying they wish they had spent more time at the office, but many (especially men) have wished they had spent more time with their kids.
Again, congratulations. I'll bet your chest feels like it's going to explode. Mine did. |
Congratulations!!!!
It will change your life!... For the better of course. There is a special bond between parents and children that sparks unconditional love from the moment you first see her. It was almost overwhelming for me at least. Birthing a baby it the most beautiful disgusting thing you will ever see ;) This weekend my 10 month old daughter Susan and me are going camping and giving mom a break. Big fun! Now if Porsche could just make a Westfalia edition instead of that turd Cayanne :) The biggest peice of advice I have is to let mom stay at home with her if at all possible. The rewards for everyone envolved are so much better than the extra money. Take Care, |
It sounds like Adrian's experience was like mine. I'll admit to more than a little experimentation with hallucinogens and other stupoid tricks, decades ago. But without a doubt, hands down, the most mind-blowing experience I've ever had was the birth of my first child. I played bass guitar in several bands during high school and college. I've sat 40' from top fuel dragsters as they launch from the start line. But the strongest, most dynamic noise I have ever heard was my first child's first whimper in the delivery room. I remember it like it was one minute ago. That moment, more than any other, woke me up and changed my life.
I love cars, planes, boats, science, business strategy, and a host of other passions. But nothing.....and I mean NOTHING, comes even close to my two children. Nothing |
Congrats Shawn,

Congrats,
See how life and priorities will change, I suspect the Pcar will go on the back burner for a while. Nothing compares with the joy of a new born. Watch how fast they grow up. You will now experience unconditional love, along with all the other rainbows of emotion will raising a child. |
Congratulations, Shaun!
Did you choose the name in the end, or did someone on the BBS suggest it? Once again, congrats. and glad you're all well and so happy.... :) |
Congratualtions! Since there are so many of us on the board? Let me be the first to say you don't have to send out stogies...
One daughter...now 33. Enjoy...you have lots of memories coming on. Best, Paul |
Congrats Shawn!!

Shawn,
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. By far the greatest thing I've experienced is being "Daddy" . Haley loves the Porsches and and batters them with wrenches, hammers, and anything else she can find. She wants to be like her Daddy. Soon you will proudly be posting photos at every chance. Here's a recent shot of the love of my life. 2 1/2 years old. Slow down and enjoy. |
Ahhh, Rich...a real cutie you have there. Enjoy her all you can. For all too soon, puberty hits! (Other old goat dads here will know what I mean.) ;)
|
Congratulations!!:)
