Man uses SUV to cut off own head!
 

I can get pretty upset with my wife sometimes, but it is not worth losing your head over.

YORKTOWN, Va. - A Chicago man who quickly accelerated in a sport utility vehicle with a cable around his neck decapitated himself after a domestic dispute in Yorktown, authorities said Tuesday.

York-Poquoson Sheriff Danny Diggs said a deputy responding to a call of a domestic disturbance Tuesday was taking a statement from the man's ex-wife when another deputy driving by noticed an SUV pulling a utility trailer that was on fire. Authorities say the man started the fire.

A firefighter noticed a cable around the man's neck that was attached to a tree. When deputies tried to get the man to exit the SUV, he accelerated and was pulled from the vehicle and decapitated, they say. The SUV kept going for about 150 yards.

Diggs said he arrived to a grisly scene, adding the cable was of the type that could be used to hoist an automobile engine.

"Nobody has ever heard of anything like this," Diggs said. "It's a really bizarre incident."

Diggs said the man and his ex-wife had quarreled over the man's living arrangements.

"He was looking to relocate from Chicago to this area, and he wanted her to do more than she was willing to do," Diggs said.

The sheriff said he was unsure how long the couple had been divorced. He said they have two school-age children who were not at home at the time.

Diggs said officials aren't releasing the man's name because they don't publicly identify suicide victims. However, officials said the man was 46 and from Chicago.

Never thought of that. I gotta say,when it comes to suicide men have it hands down over women. None of this taking 10 Tylenols and calling 911 nonsense. Git 'er done!
Personally, I would use a narrow gauge cable (maybe 1/8") to make sure it cut thru clean, yet had enough strength to not snap.

In all seriousness, this guy either had a mental illness or was so smitten with this girl that he lost his head over her.

Isn't a gunshot to the head the quickest and least painful way to commit suicide?

The man- I'm going to head over here. The ex- no your head's over there........I see a Seinfeld episode :D. All kidding aside I feel sorry for him if he felt this was the only way out.

In Nebraska before I moved away there was a guy who cut his own head off with a chain saw!

head jobs. this guy performed the ultimate head job: he got off instantaneously.

I heard this story on the radio about 20 years ago and never forgot it " A woman took the shelves out of the dishwasher, put it on the hottest setting, and climbed in and shut the door" :eek:

There is a lot of insensitivity in this thread regarding this guy. Taking your own life is a big decision.

He must have been under an enormous ammount of stress near the end. At least he didn't bury his head in the sand and let things roll over like some do. To top it all, when there's a heavy weight on your shoulders and life throws you a coin, some guys just chose heads over tail.

Years ago, my mother was a nurse. She was working at a hospital in Pensacola Florida. This guy walks into the emergency room with a little blood running out of his ear. Apparently he'd tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head (I'm assuming small caliber like a 22 or 25). It hadn't worked so he drove from Alabama (at least 30 miles) to the hospital. She said that he died while waiting, but apparently the bullet had gone in at an angle and had essentially run around the inside of his skull doing minimal damage.

In another incident. My oldest stepson killed himself when he was about 21 with a shotgun in a field not far from our house. My wife read the note and found the body. He died instantly.
