How do I record streaming video off the Internet?

I would like to record the streaming video of the NASA Championship races and interviews next week at Mid Ohio.

Any idea how?

Gotta get teh direct URL of the stream (the one that the player uses). If you can get that, and play the video with VLC, you can save it/transcode it with VLC while you watch.

Ok I have no idea what you're talking about. I want to set-up the computer to record it, go away for a few days and come back and watch it.

"They" really don't want you to do that.

I downloaded Realplayer, but certain (live) videos won't let you record them.
