Iphone plug-into computer brings up iTunes every time: how to disable?
 

Drives me nuts...probably because iTunes takes so long to load, then auto-Syncs, but cannot find a setting to disable the auto-start of iTunes: anyone know??

try edit, preferences, devices, click on prevent iTunes from syncing ip** devices automatically.

Click on phone on left side of iTunes. Click settings. Uncheck box for open itunes when connected. Press Sync.

try that first.

I used to uninstall Quicktime Updater many times. First from every means of the software, then from the computer processes.
But it would just re-install itself, several days later.

That's when I realized Apple was distributing a virus

Nope, that box was not checked when I just checked, after I merely plugged my phone into iTunes. :/
