learning a new language..rosetta stone
anybody tried using rosetta stone?
i have the sample loaded and it seems pretty good so far.. |
Tried French level 3. It's good, but it was too easy for me. I was acing all the tests...Then again, I did study it in college and spent a semester abroad in Quebec City, spent some time in Paris.
The great thing about it is you hear and speak the language. So, you hear the correct pronunciation and you repeat it into a mic. |
Rosetta Stone seems to be pretty good. I did a little research a while back and found that a lot of folks also like the Pimsleur products for learning a language.
Rosetta is PC based and includes visuals. Pimsleur is audio based with a little written material as a supplement. |
Let me know when I can start to post in Swedish. :D

As an Ugly American, I always find that speaking slowly and loudly translates well. Seriously, I'm amazed at how many people speak English in the world.

I agree. I donīt see any point for English speaking people to learn any other languages.
Well, besides Swedish of course. :) |
