Geaux LSU!!

Was there really any doubt???

pwd72s 09-03-2011 07:42 PM

Damn...I LOVED it! :D

cmccuist 09-04-2011 05:26 AM

Just think how good they'd be if their best players could stay out of bar fights!!

They're still not to the hardest part of their schedule, which is getting through the SEC meat grinder, bight it's a great start!

The Ducks look hard pressed to finish in the top 20 this year...a terrible showing from a team that appears very undisciplined time after time. I don't understand how it's tolerated.

Laneco 09-04-2011 08:13 AM

I'm a die-hard Ducks fan, but right now, there's a whole lot of this team that needs a good roasting.

angela

pwd72s 09-04-2011 08:20 AM

Take heart Angela. Looking like the Beavers are worse this year. Worse than pathetic...

Back to their losing ways...:(

Oh well, there's always baseball. :)

And pool! :D

Congrats to LSU...the Ducks needed this comeuppance...bunch of arrogant a-holes, and that's just the coaching staff. The players even more arrogant.

I only watched the 1st half. What impressed me most is the number of LSU players that were rolling around on the ground in pain after nearly every play. They're going to need some conditioning if they expect to go very far.
I don't mean to send this to PARF, but college football is just adding to the feeling I have that something fundamental is wrong in this country. With Miami and Ohio State making big headlines for bad stuff, individual players like those on LSU breaking the law and behaving badly, and the nauseating on-field antics (you just caught a ball azzwipe, stop acting like you just singlehandedly won the superbowl) college ball seems like just another flawed part of an increasingly flawed society.

undisciplined ??

Both UO and OSU suffer from a problem I call TMF (too many freshmen).

I expect the Ducks to work their way into the top 10.

Part of what you saw was a top notch LSU secondary - maybe the best in the US, and an xlnt. def. front line - the smallest guy is 303 lbs. and the shortest is about 6' 4".

Someday, maybe the west coast will stop underestimating the SEC...

I just hope LSU wins every other game too.

the problem -- as others have said -- is way too much money in the system

But let me put the LSU thing into perspective. It seems that Jordan Jefferson did not start the fight - the guy he kicked did. It is very hard to stop yourself from going after someone after they attack you. Martial artists train for decades to attain that ability.

The law says you have to stop tho. And we'll see what comes out in the ct. case.

BTW, this happened at "Shady's" a bar in a strip mall near LSU that is known for obnoxious frat boys. And no place in the nation can produce obnoxious frat boys like the SEC.

That's correct. Undisciplined. Money doesn't buy it.

LACK OF DISCIPLINE: Just two offensive plays into the season, the Ducks already had three penalties for 27 yards, including a holding penalty on the opening kickoff followed by consecutive clipping penalties.

Oregon also had two drops in the first two possessions to set up long-yardage situations, and another holding penalty on the kickoff after LSU's first touchdown made for bad starting field position.

Oregon racked up 72 penalty yards in the first half and finished with 12 penalties for 95 yards.

Jarred Lee started out weak but finished strong. As usual the defense was the saving grace early on, but in the second half the offense came alive. Two things-LSU proved they didn;t need Jefferson. Secondly the only reason he got into trouble was that if he had thrown a punch at this guy instead of kicking him, while he was down on the ground...he would have missed.

like I said freshman - in a big game, big stadium -- name all penalties and turnovers NOT caused by freshmen

RWebb 09-04-2011 02:24 PM

The nice thing is that both teams can go back home and eat some of the finest seafood in the world while recuperating.

It will be one of the great games of the season, but I seriously doubt the Tigers will win.

mattdavis11 09-17-2011 09:29 PM

It's the SEC, there's doubt every weekend.

gt350mike 09-17-2011 11:00 PM

We'll see.....besides, it doesn't hurt to have a confidence in your team.
