What's the protocol on taking away another user's name? There is a Zeke on a forum I have a 1000 posts on and he joined in 2006 and hasn't been active since the one day. I emailed him through his profile and I'll bet he doesn't even use that mail. No reply. Can I ask the admin to give me that user name? Any chance?

Well sure it's possible, but I wonder if anyone's name was yanked by a request just because they registered and never came back in 5 years?

If one never went back for 5 years, how would one know whether one's name was yanked or not?

What happened to the posts from the other Zeke, the guy who signed up briefly in 2006? Did he have any posts? Where did they go? Did they get shipped to Brazil?

Which brings up another question,, why did you go from Zeke to Milt to Zeke here?

He was milt on here when he posted this. And then it changed shortly after posting. I assumed he was asking the protocol for here....

No I don't think so Sid, Zeke has been Zeke again for a while if I'm not mistaken, but I could be wrong (it could happen )

I don't really understand the swapping names thing. RWebb either. Not that I have a problem with it, it is just confusing.

I orignally wanted redbeard, but the name was taken. I had to settle for red-beard. And this was fairly early in this forum. I know a house cleaning happened here a while back, because "redbeard" doesn't exist anymore.

I originally wanted Geronimo without the '74 but it was taken when I joined in 2003.

Honestly, I would be pissed if my name had been purged. I wasn't really active here from 05-11 but the Porsche bug has bit recently and I'm back. How about Zeek?

And whatever happened to the "Ghetto by the sea" location? I always sort of chuckle and remember that when I hear someone say Long Beach.
