As long as there was a serious demand for the Blue, someone would find a way to make it. She had access to the proper channels to make that happen and Walt couldn't die knowing his Blue was being molested by anyone.

I didn't care if he died or lived, just wanted it to be definite. I'm not convinced he actually died from the wound.

Another thing, Jesse daydreaming was a nifty escape for him. And later in the show when the ad for "Need For Speed" started, I thought it was another daydream because he was gaming so much earlier in the series.

The cassette player in the car Walt stole playing this was a big win for me....

The most powerful scene was when Walt watches Walt Jr. Get out of the bus and go into the apt. No dialogue and very sad.

I watched every episode. Cried when Mike and Hank died and cried at the ending with the help of the Badfinger tune, Baby Blue. Walt had to die given his actions and I cannot think of a better exit. He did himself in - but by situational accident after saving Jessie.

Beautiful show.

Wow, what a show! Just wrapped up the series - so sad it had to end.

What was the beef with Brock and Walt? Every time Walt was around the kid Brock would stare at him strangely. Did he know Walt poisoned him? Or did he know Walt was a "bad" dude? Seems I missed an episode but I don't think I did.

And great comments here. Never occurred to me old Walt could've survived the gunshot. Didn't necessarily see him carried off in a body bag, did we?

Walt was dead before the gunshot... The person dying in the last scene is Heisenberg. At least that's how I interpreted it. :cool:

I finished the series over the weekend too. Amazing ending. One of the most stirring moments for me was how Walt was whistling a happy tune while he was creating the trunk mounted weapon.

I'm surprised Todd turned his back on everyone and looked out the window in the aftermath. He must have known Jesse wasn't too pleased with him. And the call with Lydia at the end was great, just hope Walt didn't give her enough time to get to a hospital and let them know what happened.

Of all the sociapaths on the show, and there were many, I have to put Todd right up there. Him innocently looking out the window after all the bullets and chaos, I'd say that went with his character. I think he got off easy with the Jesse attack. Todd was scary creepy.

Walt was a dead man walking, and his dying by gunshot was a mercy, as he was terminal and that the cancer was eating him up.

In the finale Walt told Skylar that he just didn't do it for the family. That he did it for himself as well, as he enjoyed the challenge of being the best at something (that was the whistling while he worked bit). There was a scene in one of the earlier episodes where Walt is waiting to get an MRI, and some other younger guy is whining about having cancer. Walt tells him BS, that he is going to live everyday and that cancer is going to have to come and get him.

Walt never changed and became Heisenberg, Heisenberg was always waiting to come out.

The best revenge that Walt had besides giving Lydia the Ricin (she could not have gone to the hospital as the poison had been in her system for too many hours) was what he did to his former gutless high tech wunderkind business partners. One might say that this scene is social commentary about just how worthless the techno wunderkind people are as human beings. When Walt got up and went to work it was gladiator school.

The show was riveting, exceptional writing, but one glaring issue: When Hank was heavy on Jesse's trail and following him around I believe in season 4, why didn't he follow him to the laundry plant? Hank followed him everywhere else and Walt and Jesse parked their cars in the very front of the building for all to see. Hank knew Jesse was the key to Heisenberg, but yet he didn't follow his movements in the morning and night (To and from the laundry). As smart as Walt was, I couldn't understand why he would park his car in plain sight and show his face for all to see at the laundry. In fact, plenty of people knew Walt was Heisenberg. For as tenacious as Hank was, there was a high suspension of belief that he wouldn't eventually come across one of the many Walt associates who knew he was a meth kingpin: Jesse's buddies, laundry employees, and random people and drug dealers that all met Walt along the way. Hank never learned from anyone who Walt really was.

But still, incredible entertainment and unbelievably brilliant plot twists.
