Spoiler alert
I think the fellas are in a pickle. Hank finally caught a break.
I'm going to miss Mike. I liked the way he dealt with Walt. |
"Walt...Shut up and let me die in peace."
Oops correction: “Shut the fuch up, and let me die in peace.” |
I don't think we'll see the end of Mike - too much involvement. Also glad Hank caught a break. As for Jesse, he's too far in to just walk away.
|
I thought bringing in Todd to take Jesse's place as a cook was pretty interesting. He seems to be catching on.
I keep thinking of the preview of Mr. White in fugitive-mode in that first episode...will be interesting to see how things play out next week. Two more episodes, right? |

I'm don't usually get into things like this, but am enjoying Breaking Bad. It is fairly well done and the writing is top notch.

A very good review of "Breaking Bad" in the current New Yorker.
Best line: descibing Lydia as a "helicopter mom missing a blade"... “Breaking Bad” Review : The New Yorker |
I've liked Breaking Bad. Watched it from Season 1 on Netflix, and am watching it currently.
It's been a very good show and a great concept. But, I think it's being run a bit past its natural end, and a lot of stuff is being recycled just to squeeze another season out of a hit. For example, I just don't know how many more "tough guy" meetings in the middle of the desert I can take. And Jesse trying to get out of the biz and walt trying to keep him in, Jesse trying to get paid. Last week's episode, while good, had a bit of a Groundhog Day feel to me. Next season, being the last, has the potential to be really great. |

Season finale in progress........:p

No deatils please. I can't watch for a couple of hours...
|
Is it OK to discuss now?
I'll start us off.... That Lydia is pretty hot...wow. ;) |
I've watched it now.
"I'm Out". |
What does one TRILLION dollars look like? (calculations & dimensions)
The stack looked bigger than a standard pallet (40 inches by 48 inches). It looked more like 6 feet by 6 feet and about 2.5 feet high. Based on the calculations on the website, I'd say they have a maximum of $200M. Probably less, since they have a mix of bills. With the mix, lets say they have 1/2, or about $100M |
Took Hank long enough to figure it out. It's not like he had miles of circumstantial evidence or anything...
|
Here is the inscription/dedication Hank saw:
“To my other favorite W.W. It’s an honour working with you. Fondly G.B" That book, Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass", was a gift from Gretchen (maiden name) Black. A gift to Walt when they worked at Gray Matter. Walter WHITE + Gretchen BLACK = GRAY Matter. They used to be romantically involved. What the DEA has is Gale's lab journal with the inscription/dedication: "To W.W. My Star, My Perfect Silence." A heck of an ending...now it will be 10 long months before we continue and see what Hank does with this new revelation. A lot of possibilities as well as considerations. Makes you wonder about that preview of Walt on the run - a fugitive in the first episode this season |

The 2 best parts of last night's season finale were the prison hits with that cool background music and the meth segment with "Crystal Blue Persuasion" playing.
Superb editing!!! |
