Rock Climbing, and my first video editing attempt
Shot in march, edited in may, and uploaded in September, I know I am slow....
I had to shoot in low res due to battery constraints, and I know now that the guy running the camera was an idiot... But I still don't think it turned out half bad. Watching the end of this still makes me nervous, I think you'll see why... |

Congrats. Would shorts have provided more freedom of movement? However, sharp rocks can be murder on the loins.
Let's hope your video guy doesn't read this thread, then becomes your belayer on your next climb. Sherwood |

It was pretty cool when we started climbing that day, hence the jeans....
And I'm not too worried about him seeing this, he is more concerned with where to buy keystone light... Which is also why I don't let him belay me on lead climbs... ![]() |

Hang-dog much?
You should record the red-point, not the practice climbs

I feel like I should say, that I had just started doing 5.10 leads the day before with a 5.10b followed by a 5.10c in the dark. This was my third or 4th lead climb that day and my arms finally said eff this we are done... I couldn't even untie the rope when I got down....
![]() This was Learning to Fly and also 5.10c. Its named for the swinger you take if you don't get the anchors or fall out of the roof. This was probably my favorite climb of the whole trip. |

Sidney, all I can say is forearms, forearms, you must get forearms like Popeye.
Nice try on Ceasars, so close but so far away, next time it will be a walk in the park with no hangtime. In my climbing hayday, my day job was carpenter, always pounding nails, built many houses with 16p galvinized nails which gave me popeye arms.I was done with climbing when cams became the thing, still have my set of hexes and wired nuts and of course my long dong. Can you believe ol' Fred Becky still climbing, he is in his 80's. Last yr my oldest son and his wife spent the winter in AZ climbing, they are both geologists.

Yup. Thats the cool thing about Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. They have almost 300 bolted routes. Many of which even have fixed draws.
