Flieger 09-21-2011 05:42 PM

How did they know he flashed the lights after he had passed them?

Racerbvd 09-21-2011 06:52 PM

FL. Highway Patrol hate 911 owners:(
Save The Flash

So what are you saying, Byron?

I don't flash. If they get caught I really don't care.

I used to when there weren't 10 million cars on the road. I thought it was clever.

Not so much anymore. I guess I agree.

widgeon13 09-22-2011 09:35 AM

Don't think that's a very good comparison.

Flashing your hi-beams to warn oncoming traffic of a radar trap was common practice when I was living back in NJ. I never see it done here in CA...I suspect most drivers wouldn't even know what it means.

Well,

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Well, people warning that the Troopers have a SPEED Trap, which in some cases have been the cause of accidents, as this countryturns into more & more of a Police state, where laws are being created/enforced, not for safety, but for revenue, and as we lose more & more rights, but thats OK, since you don't care, guess you aren't a 911 owner either or you would understand the significance of the Flash to us Porsche owners..
I always Flash other Porsches & warn for Speed Traps, and have been Flashed back for both..

I try to comunicate to other drivers by sticking my hand out the window and lower it in a slow fashion (to slow down motion). I've been saved from tix by others with this gesture.

Pic taken in Central Oregon...note the pretty flashing lights on the red (supercharged according to the guy who took the pic) Mustang. Yep, this one could probably catch a well set up 944. Maybe even a 928 or a 930. Not even running the government plates...very sneaky.

I'm glad they don't allow those here.

krystar 09-22-2011 12:47 PM

so wait....a red mustang with flashing lights pulls up behind u. i wouldn't stop. i'd call 911 and be like, there's a guy behind me impersonating a police officer. you better send a real squad car.

They have Red ones in FL. as well:(
They have gotten real sneaky, and instead of patrolling and helping motorist in need, they hide in the bushes to generate cash for the state..

I've done this as well..
Funny, you don't have to wear an helment to ride a motorcycle, but they can pull you over & ticket you for not wearing a seatbelt:eek:

No, they don't anymore. They think you're telling them they have their high beams on in daylight.
