The Stahl House in Los Angeles...one of the 36 'Case Study' houses designed after WWII. Only 26 were actually built and many were demolished or remodeled beyond recognition over the years. The Stahl House has appeared in many films and is still used for TV commercial shoots.

From Wiki: "The Case Study Houses were experiments in American residential architecture sponsored by Arts & Architecture magazine, which commissioned major architects of the day, including Richard Neutra, Raphael Soriano, Craig Ellwood, Charles and Ray Eames, Pierre Koenig, Eero Saarinen, A. Quincy Jones, Edward Killingsworth, and Ralph Rapson to design and build inexpensive and efficient model homes for the United States residential housing boom caused by the end of World War II and the return of millions of soldiers."

The Darling House here in Santa Cruz, CA. Was a B&B for a time, now for sale. Sits on West Cliff Drive, right across the street from the ocean.

No, that's Chemosphere on Torreyson Drive right off Mullholland. They actual did not use the real house. Its was a a fake. Body Double did some of their filming there. If you ever get a chance to look inside Chemosphere, under the compound angle bench in front of the fire place, you will find something written in pencil in the far left corner with a certain company name. Now you know who did all of the interior.

The slate floor had a 11' radius pattern that had the look of a random cut floor, that repeated itself throughout. Its had to be cut on the job, laid out to make sure the pattern matched up from one room to the next. The book matched Ash veneer plywood panels and site built pocket door was a btich to get up there. Half way through the job, the gardeners finally killed off the funicular. So my men had to hand carry all that materials up the one hundred seventy something steps winding its way up the hill side to the top where the entry is located. My tile guy was pissed.

Thinking back, it was fun.

Newtown, Wellington. It's a 120 year old two bedroom "working man's cottage" I'd owned it for 32 years until two months ago. It's odd/sad not owning it anymore.

This is our house when we first moved in 21 years ago. It is paid for now, so I work from home! My wife has a Macan now, I have the exact same two cars.

The landscaping has change a lot. More trees, and lots more flower beds.

I love it!

I have a similar photo of my old house somewhere. An Avalanche, a Lexus and 3 911's. I wont forget because I had the cars on the grass for the photo and got a fine from the HOA from parking my cars on my lawn for an hour or so.......

That's an interesting photo, and vaguely familiar. The Firebird gave it away. Loved that show.
