Opening for Tommy Castro
The Rich Harper Band finally gets a break in our own country! Friday night after Thanksgiving @ The Cellar in Ohio. I've heard Tommy is great to work with. This will be a fun night. Finally we get a break at a good club with our kind of crowd. Anybody from up this way is so welcome.

I'd give up my first born to get a gig like that! Man... he's great. Have fun.
Amoung his attributes... the band just kills the "James Brown" stuff. Wish I could go. Great performer. |

Yeah, even though we are all pretty "seasoned" players, we are all pretty excited about this show. Rich may know him as he was in the LA music scene for 20+ years. Our drummer has played shows with him before and sez he's great on and off stage. This is a nice intimate club too. Should be a fun night. Thanks guys!

Good for you guy's, TCB is one hot band. They always get the crowd dancing.
The only problem I have when going to see them is that the girls usually crowd the stage and make it hard to see them or you have no room to dance. We usually try and go see them here in the Bay Area at Rancho Nicasio in Marin County. Usually the crowd is just into dancing. I hope you guy's get it on, like I am sure that you will that night. I have always enjoyed the opening bands for Tommy and I am sure that it won't hurt your public relations.

The PR is what we are really looking forward to. Rich is huge overseas ( 9CD's) but we just can't get this thing started stateside. Everywhere we do play, they love us, but getting on a good ticket is more than hard. Most clubs here are pay to play type of deal even at the House of Blues. We are hoping for some good press here to crack the ice. Thanks for all the cheers. More as we get closer. I DO wish we could get proper booking and management. We musicians are such poor bizness men.

? I'm not really "connected" to the blues scene like I used to be, but a guy I used to be associated with (Blues Society board trustee) was with one of these outfits (can't remember which) before he decided to "retire" and live on the lake, Check out both Intrepid Artists and Piedmont Talent out of Charlotte and good luck!!!ps: HOB...yuck. I enjoyed my only visit to the original "old house" HOB up in Cambridge years ago, the rest (I've been to) are sanitized yuppie corporate crap venues imo, and I don't care for them at all. pps: Also check out the Double Door Inn (Charlotte) if you venture south.
