Met a really cool couple on a blues cruise many years ago, and though he's since had it "corrected", had his name mispelled on his arm when he was enlisted overseas in his youth...instead of "Fred", it was "Fread". We get a big kick out of it everytime we see each other, and I still call him "Freed".
ps: At least it was better than "Moom"
