Toy Soldiers pictures
A year ago I was on vacation in Northern Montana and stopped in a small antique shop. This shop was off the beaten path, and the owner said he and his wife run the shop on the summer and spend the winters in Nevada--he had some great stuff. What really caught my eye was this little glass-top box of hand-made toy soldiers(Revolutionary War). The owner told me that a local author made them and sold them to him and that there were more pieces which he ahd already sold(cannon, etc.) He was selling them by the piece but I made him an offer of 20.00 for the box which he accepted. The soldiers are all very samll ahnd=carved, hand apinted,a nd the detail on the wagon is unreal. Small powder kegs, cannonballs made of BBs, etc. It even came with several cut-out "blank" soldiers and bases. I just thought they were pretty neat.

I've never seen anything like them. Great find.
They certainly are unique.

Those are very nice! They'd look good in a display coffee table in a den....
