Thanks everybody. Those damascus barrels are stunning in person. I didn't have to do much but try to match the worn areas. Another day in the shop. Havin' fun.

On damascus barrels the entire assembly would be made of damascus steel parts. Top rib, left barrel, right barrel, bottom rib. Most commonly the barrel hooks or lugs would be made of normal steel and dovetailed into the bottom of the barrels. All parts soft soldered together. |
