Anyone has the liftmaster monitor and sensor for garage door opener?
This thing, pis below, suppose to remotely indicate when the door is opened or closed. It come with a monitor with LED lights, and one or more sensors units attached to the door\s.
If I get it, I like more than 1 units for up and down stairs without a bunch of sensors attaching to each door. Does anyone know if I can get 2 units and if each sensor from each unit can work for both? Thanks. ![]()

This monitor came with the belt driven opener I bought a year or so ago. The box also had a keypad and 2 remotes. I went ahead and put the monitor about half way up the door. It likely works on a mercury switch and I wanted it high enough not to have the kids mess with it but not on the top panel because I like to leave the door open 3-5 inches for ventilation in our hot climate.
I doubt I would buy one if it hadn't beeb included. I do not know if they can be set to send to more than one monitor. I'll check when I get home if it has DIP switches, I can't remember. We have 2 garage doors - only one is operated by the teenagers remote - some safety there..... The green LED was bright enough that its constant glow in our bedroom was too much - I put TWO layers of green electricians tape over it to tone it down. The Red LED blinks when the door is more than a foot or two open and gets my attention. Usually after the lights are off and I'm settling into bed...... We had a number of items jacked from our garage a while back because the door was wide open all night. Our neighbors are good about calling each other at 11 PM to give a verbal dopeslap.

Looks like the programming step is not DIP switch related - must have worked easily because I can't remember doing it. To answer your question, it looks like the monitor can handle more than one door and the transmitter is programmed to a receiver/monitor so you should be able to set up more than one base unit. The base units use a transformer for power, the senders use a flat 3V battery which seems to last a while.
FYI - Chamberlain, LiftMater, Sears Craftsman and Wayne Dalton (the list may go on) are all made by the same company and their add on products are interchangable. I found some infor on the Amazon site and in going through the reviews there: Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Chamberlain Garage Door Add-On Sensor for CLDM2 Monitor Review From Amazon: I bought the original kit which consists of a sensor-transmitter and a remote receiver with warning lights. I needed an additional sensor for the second garage door. Installs in minutes like the original basic kit and the warning light comes on any time that either one of the two garage doors is left open.

I just saw a new craftsman opener with a wi-fi connection, I think it'll let you check status of door on your smartphone. I come home several times a year to find my door open because I was rushing out in the AM. If there is a module to add onto my current opener I'd really think about it, but probably won't buy a whole new opener just for that feature.

Thanks. I read the reviews. Seem like both good and bad. If adding sender or receiver eaily, I would hate it if your sender would activate the neighbor's receiver, or vice versa. I already send the question to liftmaster tech. Let's see if I get any response.

I've got 1 monitor and 1 sensor on the main garage door we open/close when entering/exiting the house from the garage door. I can tell from a quick view on a side table that the outside garage door is open/closed.

Finally, I got them work the way I wanted.
For references, you can set up to 4 senders and 4 receivers (base on manufacture doc). I set 2 sets together and they work fine.

I have one that came with the door opener.
It worked for a while. It stopped working after a short period of time. YMMV

No, changed the battery on the door sensor. Changed the location closer.
Didn't help.

antena?
Once, I rolled the antena wire on my opener and found that the remote didn't work anymore. It has to be extended long.
