^^^^^
yes this was one of my thoughts also- |
they run on batteries....until skynet goes sentient.....or we try to obliterate the skies and they develop a form of fusion and grow humans for batteries
|
And they already looked into war-bots that basically feed themselves
"Robotic Technology Inc.’s Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot — that’s right, “EATR” — “can find, ingest, and extract energy from biomass in the environment (and other organically-based energy sources), as well as use conventional and alternative fuels (such as gasoline, heavy fuel, kerosene, diesel, propane, coal, cooking oil, and solar) when suitable,” reads the company’s Web site." |
All the movies with killer robots have some magical energy source that defies the laws of physics as we know it.
Even if a robot runs on gasoline it will take a big cooling system and lubrication. The power source is the key to stopping robots. |
"But nowhere is there any consideration of the ethical implications of the weaponisation of these systems,"
agh...they are meant to kill the enemy...thats about all the ethics a weapon needs... |
