I clicked Dave's link and it opened a pic. It's a Mustang made into a pool table. Maybe use another browser. I quit Firefox 2 years ago and never looked back. LOTS of problems.

tevake 10-09-2011 08:31 AM

OK , I get it now. Perfect!!

Do they come in green with out spoilers etc?

pwd72s 10-09-2011 09:32 AM

LOL! The Mustang one has made the rounds of the billiards sites. Nice novelty 7' table...but for playing? If my house had the room, I'd get one of these...a classic Brunswick Centennial...Gorgeous art deco, 9' Tournament size, 4.5" pockets.

Pretty $pendy if well restored & assembled by a top table mechanic...but the old "they don't build 'em like they used to" phrase really applies here. My fantasy table would be much like the one in the pic I posted, with simonis tournament blue cloth. Today's gold crowns are okay, so are Diamond brand tables. But Damn, I just love the Centennial.

Here's a link to the history.
Antique Brunswick-Balke-Collender's The Centennial billiard table

I'm pretty lucky...the Cue Ball in Salem is all Centennial or Anniversary tables...great equipment, and Jim always gives Cindy & I a break on hourly rental rates, since we usually play in the afternoon when the hall isn't crowded.

VINMAN 10-09-2011 12:32 PM

Just saw one on EBAY $10,000!

pwd72s 10-09-2011 02:04 PM

Yeah, that's about right...Go to the Cue Ball in Salem, Oregon..play on a Centennial for $4.00 per hour. ;) But IIRC correctly, the Mustang table isn't cheap. Maybe about the same. No doubt which one I'd rather play on...:D

Click on the hall pics here...the back room is Centennials, the front room Anniversary models. Both are Brunswick classics and delightful to play on.

One place to look for these is when a city closes down an old fire hall...many of them used these tables.
Not knowing what they are doing, the cities often sell a classic table cheaply while getting a new table for the new hall.

VINMAN 10-09-2011 04:00 PM

Paul, thanks alot for showing me that table. Now I have another most likely unobtainable goal!

I hate you!! ;):D
