Have the ductail on.... Missing something now.
 

I recently did a batch of changes including fiberglass front and rear bumpers and decided to finihsh it with the ducktail I have always wanted. Now it seems to be missing something. Is it my imagination or does it need some black on the back? My first instinct has me just putting a simple 911 graphic on the duck.
I need to look for the pic but I remember seeing Jack Olsen's black beauty with a 911 decal on the back.

That duck tail looks great. I agree with you that it needs something to break up the green expanse and give it some relief. Can you photoshop the decal?

Lose the center Porsche plastic reflector and fill it with a viper green piece. Basic black Carrera across the deck.

I like it. I don't know that it needs anything, but i don't think that a decal of some sort (like Kurt/Rot's above) would be bad either.

I was thinking on the deck lid itself, not the tail. Up on the tail is where it goes if it is followed by an RS. ;)

This is the winner so far. That would look sharp. She's such a whore already I suppose i could put just about any script on her now! The Carrera script looks natural on it. I would like to see the carrera on the deck. Would you center it?It came with the porsche eblem accross the deck. That would look bad with the reflector still there.

I'd actually look for a different tail. Imho the duck doesn't really work visually with the widebody flares. I ran a duck on my SC after it was prepped but I had stock fenders. Eventually I ran a bigger tail due to wanting to kill a bit more lift, but I think it looked better as well.

Fuchs were a must after the new bumpers. Much better now!!! The clean look is growing on me. I may pick up a carrera script and see what it looks like for next spring. Going to Road America for a track day with MVP track days on Saturday for a day of fun:D

I agree that is a lot of green and could use some definition. I recommend the porsche knockout graphic as posted above. A good amount of black too. This seems to be the look of that vintage car these days. ie magnus...

Looks really good as is. Maybe the simple "911" script as seen on Black Beauty, but no more IMHO. The only other thing I would try is removing a rocker to see how it looks, for some reason the combo of rocker trim and the rear fender strakes seems busy to me. I love the looks of a coupe with no rocker trim.

What does the front of this car look like?

Google Jack Olsen black beauty and you'll find plenty. You can also search on this site, as Jack is a frequent poster.

^^ not to be a party pooper, but I think that is a late-model 911 decal-badge. I'm not 100%, but the early ones have a different angle, are metal, and the #s are connected.

I did a little research as I was going to do black on black w one on my radio delete plate...didn't go with it.
