8 killed in Seal Beach.....
|
Is that the bad guy?? Terrible tragedy, how do we stop these things from happening?
This was the caption on that picture. "Police officers stand with a man who was being held in a patrol car at the scene …" Who writes this stuff, if he was being held in the car why is he standing there. I've seen better security on some a-hole who has been picked up for DWI. Why isn't he getting pistol whipped? |
You guys need to read some lighter news.
SlutWalk comes to Ann Arbor next weekend SlutWalk comes to Ann Arbor next weekend |
It seems like many of these rampages are over child custody fights after a break-up or divorce. This boggles my mind on several levels. WTF do these people in their twisted, sick minds think is going to happen? That they will get custody of their child after they get done killing everyone?? I realize that someone is obviously not thinking *long-term* at these moments but really...even if 2 brain cells are still communicating w/ each other, you'd think that some pause would occur.
Also, what makes people so psycho about hanging-out w/ their children? It's as though their own life becomes completely insignificant to the point of non-existence in the absence of their role as a parent. I've seen it more and more in recent years. When my parents got divorced in 1970, there was no custody battle. My dad had exactly zero interest in having custody of us even 1 day out of 7. Most of his divorced buddies were the same way. He took us out to dinner and on ski vacations. The rest of the time he spent banging his 22 y.o. GF and enjoying his freedom, Don Draper-style. What is with these "men" with twats between their legs who go hormonal and kill 8 people over not getting enough ball-tossing time with junior? Color me confused... |
It isn't about the kids. It is about the inability to "lose to the b*tch." The men who do this stuff (as far as I can tell) aren't loving parents that are distraught. They are bitter/angry people who have serious issues.

If there was a foot chase, it was a short one. Good thing for that detective.

I'm betting this guy is a few fries short of a happy meal. My friend got divorced and had custody of the kids who had weekends with their dad. Dad chooses to shoot himself in the head... when the kids were at his house... Total WTF?!?! |
He needs a wonder bra. He's going to be popular in the joint with the guys who had fat, hairy wives.
|
They had reported on KNX radio that he was a charter boat captain, 2 years ago there was an accident in which a female deckhand was essentially cut in half, while his legs were almost severed. Friends said he was never the same.
Not trying to make excuses, just some people can "hold it in" till something just snaps... |
Love can make a sane person go crazy.......

Ugly picture. Ugly story.
Hard to believe that the perp's only in his early forties; and if that's the detective that caught him in a foot race, well, that would have been the footrace equivalent of the OJ Simpson car chase. |
More than likely the ex was/is destroying him financially. In those situations, many men probably see no way out and just want to end it, taking as much collateral damage as they can.

Crazy. That's literally 10 minutes from where I used to live in LB. Used to go cycling by it every day. Stuff like that just doesn't happen there. Seal Beach? Probably in the top 5 most mellow/chill places I've ever seen. Simply crazy.
I really feel for those kids. Wow, people are just loony. |

Who wants to bet this tragedy (and the Phoenix shooting) end up forming the basis for some new gun control scheme revolving around the idea of establishing some arbitrary standard of mental stability as a prerequisite for firearm possession?
Sad. On all counts. |
