You should have called my kids in to help. My wife, too.

Meanwhile, George and I will be having shrimp cocktail overlooking sunset here on Monterey Bay.

I'm staying bone stock. It's my daily driver and it gets its share of abuse/neglect. It had dents and dings when I got it but I won't bother to fix those now. I'll just wait till I figure a way to get those fixed at someone else's expense. If you get real close you can see a little run under the passenger door handle. I won't fix that either. The painter said he can fix it but it's way too much trouble for that. Besides I need having something to piss and moan about.
It'll get colorsanded and buffed eventually. Then it'll be "concours"

Good question. There's not much left that you can buy in CA. Pretty much all a water borne 2 stage urethane. That is unless Kevin has his "sources."

I know the p-car restoration shop that I won't tell on goes to "great lengths (distances)" to acquire paint. Up until a year ago I was buying paint not legal in CA that was purposely labeled something that it wasn't. I can't use what I have because I can't buy the thinner nor the hardener.

Start to finish....ten hours. Thats with two experienced prep guys (Danny and myself) and five others who were here mainly for the pizza, beer and fun.
It looks good in photos but up close (10 feet or less) the flaws are evident. We still have to color sand and buff it.
I used some left over Limco acrylic enamal base coat with a universal reducer over Envirobase ECS25 non sanding sealer topped off with Zolatone 2K Urethane clear. Total material cost was under $200.00
