Everything you buy on ebay is protected in some way. You could do a paypal charge back on your mirror and get 100% of your money back if you paid with paypal. The seller really has no say in the matter. You will have to return the part and prove that you returned it

this is very good advice. i would always look at all the communication between the parties when working on a 'case'.

Alot of the changes at ebay have happened in just the last year or 2. It is really all about the buyer.

its a write off. $15 to ship a $30 part seems like throwing good money after bad. negative feedback is much more satisfying and damaging, especially if truthful.

Great, thanks everyone. Sounds like things might be OK. I was civil, yet firm with him on the messages back and forth. He comes across as someone with a short temper and no self responsibility. Guess I'll just be out the shipping back to him, and of course, the serigraph, which I really like a lot.
